District Night - International Cooking

Activity Overview
- Your patrol will compete against others by cooking a meal from your assigned country and presenting on Scouting in that country
- You will be scored on:
- Number of courses made (min.3)
- Number of courses made at the hall
- Meal Presentation
- Taste/Flavour
- Nutritional Value
- Table Decoration
- Costumes
- A brief presentation on Scouting in your team’s country
- Anything the judges think are worthy of extra points.
Preparation
- To save some time, minor prep can be done at home, however each dish should be made on the night.
- Each patrol must research scouting in their assigned country and present on the night
Clothing & Equipment
- All patrols must bring anything needed (cookers, utensils, bowls, chopping boards, ingredients)
- There is only a small kitchen so the less mess made the better – plan to wash up at home.
- We will be cooking outside (there is an awning), so check the weather.
Travel Arrangements
- 6:30pm start at Merewether Scout Hall - 15 Ida St, Mayfield.
- Finish at 8:30

Supervision
- This activity will be conducted under direct adult supervision. Both male and female leaders will be present.
