Merewether Scout Group have traditionally assisted the Merewether - Hamilton - Adamstown RSL Sub-Branch to run their Dawn Service on ANZAC Day and our assistance has been requested once again. The service will begin at 07:00, and our group will be formed up behind the gates from 06:45. Please arrive early if you can, as we will be helping to set up from 06:00.

Clothing

Please wear full uniform - Scout shirt, scarf (neatly rolled!), navy (preferably) or beige pants and black shoes,  If it is cold then please wear something under your uniform as we will be on parade so no jumpers. If it is raining, please bring an umbrella.

Eat Before Attending

In previous years some of our scouts have felt unwell having to stand at attention for some time during the ceremony (I have seen many members of our armed forces faint at ANZAC ceremonies, and they have had lots of practice!). Please make sure your scout has something to eat before they come and practice wriggling their toes and flexing their leg muscles to maintain their circulation while standing still.
